Long before we began photographing weddings, castles, old manors, forgotten ruins and wild gardens shaped our self-portraits and personal stories. They taught us to look beyond the obvious grandeur - towards light falling across an old wall, ivy reclaiming a doorway and the way a fleeting moment between two people can bring a centuries-old place to life.
Perhaps it is no coincidence that we chose castles for both parts of our own wedding, too. We know the feeling of discovering a place that holds the atmosphere you had imagined before you could quite put it into words.
